I have explained honestly in the third day of "Ghalam bedast" that, The way I was asked to do "Roundtable" could not make me happy of doing it , so I could not make you happy as well. So I took a different path. Was it out of my selfishness, and self admiration? No. On the contrary I did it based on my professional judgement about programming, and the way I know YOU , and your great awareness throughout the years. although some out of their limited knowledge may underestimate you, and your level of sophistication. Still I am saying that what replaced the old gathering of "you and me" only reflects the lack of understanding of Iranian culture and Iranian audience, and on the top of it, lack of knowledge of programming. Now, who is paying for this? You, me, and VOA who hand in hand supported me and you through all these years.
Then Should we now blame VOA? I don,t believe so. It is more about us who should better educate ourselves, and practice it.

آقای بهارلو گرامی 5 سال پس از آنکه دیوار برلین برداشته شد آلمانی ها با حقیقت تلخی مواجه شدند و آن این بود که دیواری که در مغز انسانها ایجاد شده همچنان بر جای خود استوار است و میباید دست بکار فرهنگی زد متاسفانه نه تنها در صدای آمریکا بلکه در سایر رسانه های ایرانی و از آمریکا تا اروپا و خود ایران صاحبان اصلی همیشه دمکرات منشی را با میدان جنگ برای کسب قدرت سیاسی اشتباه گرفته اند وقتی امروز به خبر روی تلکس خبرگزاری ها نگاه میکنم بازگوئی به چندین بار ممیزی رفته آن خبر و نظر را در بازپخشش در رسانه ها میبینم بیشتر معتقد میشوم که هنوز راه درازی است اما جناب بهارلو نازنین در سال 57 بسیاری از مدیران لایق میدان را خالی کردند و کار را به نادانان سپردند سوال من از شما این است که آیا ما هنوز از از سال سیاه 57 تجربه آموزی نکردیم؟ آیا وقت آن نیست کهاز پذیرش غلط سر باز زده و بیش از این تمکین نکنیم؟ با تقدیم بهترین آرزو ها برای شما
Dear Mr Baharloo,
As an old time listener and viewer of VOA programs I would like to expess my honest opinion about the Roundtable programs which you aptly hosted for meany years and I enjoyed watching them ,first every week and then every day. Since you have left the show, we are left with a bunch of amateur so called hosts who dont really know anything about running a decent 60 minute program . The worst performance, and I should say the most embarassing moments of this show, is when it is hosted by Ms Shahla Arasteh who really should be kept off camera if VOA wants to rehabilitate its name in the future. I beg you to watch her Monday show with a ultra monarchist called Pashaie in LA . This gentleman does not know much about the intricacies of the current crisis in Gaza and just spews out his anti regime slogans which instead of enlightening the audience make them mad because it reminds us of the Iranian TV and its one sided shows. Adding insult to injury is Arasteh's unprofessional conduct in cutting off the guest and uttering her non sensical comments . I would like you to just get a pen and paper and transcribe her comments to see for yourself that it was nothing but non sense without any meaningful message, coherence and correct grammar to say the least. Why is VOA management insisting to use amature and lightwights like Ms Arasteh, to run an important show like Roundtable with You. I hope to god that VOA management takes a closer look at this and other substandard shows and do something before your British competition steals the ball and runs with it.

آقای بهارلوی یاور همیشه با ما. حالا می میفهمم که گند کار از کجاست و این سقوط آزاد برنامه های صدای آمریکا ومصیبت انحطاط میز گردی با شما که سند شرف و اعتبار صدای آمریکا بود از کجا آب میخورد. همانطور که مختصر گفته و گذشته اید این آقایان یا خانمها ما را دست کم گرفته اند. اما به هرصورت رد پای لس آنجلس را نیز می بینیم هر چند شما اشاره ای نکرده اید. نمیدانم مقام مسیول آنجا کیست و آیا از این فلاکتی که عارض انجا شده خبری دارد؟ صدای این همه ایرانی معترض را بگوش او نمیرسانند؟ یا میرسانند و میگوید ولشون کن قابل نیستند که در هردو صورت موجب شرم جامعه ما ایرانی ها در آمریکاست.

بهارلوی عزیز من صدای آمریکا را بخاطر تو بخاطر فرح اندوز بخاطر کنگرلو و گروه استخواندار روزهای اوج رادیو شناختم نه با این نسخه های بدلی لس آنجلسی که جای شما نشسته اند . حالا هم میچسبم به همین یادداشت هایت اما نه در سایت صدای آمریکا بلکه در همین سایت خودت. میدونم که اگر چند کلام ناب نثار باعث وبانی های این افتضاحات شرم اور کنم چاپ نمیکنی بنا بر این حرفم را میخورم. اما قول شرف میدهم که دیگر هرگز به این مزخرفات که انرا توهین به شعور همه ایرانی ها میدانم نگاه نکنم. نه خودم ونه دوستان و خانواده ام. درود بر لونا که همیشه به شاگردی شما افتخار کرد و بعد هم مثل شما گذاشت و رفت.

Have you left the Round Table Program? Without you Round Table is not interesting enough to watch. After they separated two days off of Round Table, I believe, VoA lost some viewers and now without you, most of us are not watching the program much.

Thank you for the quick response. I did read your reason for leaving
VOA, on your blog: ahmadbaharloo@blogspot.com. I am so sorry to hear
that. Your absence is a major loss to VOA. I used to watch Round Table
every day, for years. Stopped watching part of it when they separated
the two days. I could not stand Farhoudi for two days in a week! Then,
when you were absent, I stopped watching the other five days. However, I
did check every day and once I noted you were not there, I changed
channel. I know many of the "ham-vatans" feeling the same way as I do. I
wish you success in your new undertakings. We will miss watching and
listening to your great programs on the tube, until you come back.
All the best wishes for a wonderful 2009.
